If This Sounds Familiar, It’s Time to Think Different.
Energy bills that don’t match how your building actually operates
Traditional multizone systems are constantly running heat and cooling at the same time, mixing air to hit the temperature downstairs. That means you are reheating mechanically cooled air and wasting energy every day.
Spaces that never seem comfortable
When multiple rooms rely on the same system, one zone calling for cooling can force the entire unit to run. The result is hot spots, cold spots, and constant adjustments just to keep people comfortable.
An aging multizone system with no easy replacement
Many building owners assume replacing an old multizone means tearing out ductwork, adding new structure, and installing multiple rooftop units. It feels expensive, disruptive, and complicated.
The reality is, there’s another option.
Find out if a custom PMZ3 Multizone system is the right fit for your building.
Talk to CMEA System Built Around Your Needs. Not the Other Way Around.
Engineered for Your Building. Every Time.
Every PMZ3 Multizone system is built to order. Before manufacturing begins, a CME field technician visits the site to measure the existing curb, ductwork, and utilities. The system is then designed to match the building’s current layout and operating conditions so the unit fits your building instead of forcing the building to adapt to the equipment.
True Zone Independence. Reduced Energy Consumption.
Traditional multizone systems mix hot and cold air to achieve the desired temperature. That often means reheating mechanically cooled air, which wastes energy. The PMZ3 uses independent heating and cooling sections for each zone. Each space receives exactly the heating or cooling it needs, when it needs it, so one zone calling for cooling does not force the entire system to run. The result is better comfort and significantly improved efficiency.
Centralized Equipment. Simpler Maintenance.
Many modern systems distribute equipment throughout ceilings and mechanical spaces across the building. The PMZ3 takes a different approach. All major equipment is contained within a single rooftop penthouse structure. Service technicians can access compressors, fans, and controls in one location instead of throughout the building, making maintenance simpler, faster, and easier to manage over the life of the system.
Direct Manufacturer Support. From Day One.
From design to installation, CME works alongside the engineers and contractors on each project. We assist with system selection, support installation in the field, perform startup and commissioning, and provide training for building personnel. Because every PMZ3 is built by CME, our team understands exactly how the system was designed and how it operates. Support comes directly from the manufacturer, ensuring clarity and long-term reliability.

Frequently Asked Questions
Every project is different, but CME plans around your schedule. Much of the work happens on the roof or in mechanical spaces, and our team coordinates with your contractor to minimize downtime for classrooms, offices, or critical areas. During your discovery call, we can talk through phasing options that fit your calendar.
We look at your existing equipment, operating schedule, and utility rates, then model how a PMZ Multizone system would perform for your building. Case studies like the Olathe School District's 22.3% reduction in electricity use help ground those estimates in real-world results.
Yes. PMZ Multizone units ship with BACnet IP or MS/TP controls so they can integrate with most modern building automation systems. Part of our upfront review is confirming how the new equipment will tie into your existing controls and what, if any, adjustments are needed.
